Apple Bars

This is a lovely raw, sweet and satisfying apple bar that you can enjoy as a light snack between meals or to give you energy while you're on the go. It'll keep your energy stores full and sugar cravings at bay.

Ingredients:

Makes 3 or 4 bars

  • 1 cup (115 grams) LSA or almond meal (ground almonds)

  • 1 green apple, peeled and chopped

  • 1 cup fresh dates, packed

  • 1/4 cup (35 grams) pumpkin seeds

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds

Instructions:

1. Process all the ingredients in the bowl of a food processor or blender until it binds together.
2. Tip into a lined baking tray and press out to 1 inch (2.5cm) thick.
3. Dehydrate for 3-4 hours at 115°C , or lightly bake in an oven to 70°C for 1 hour, to dry out. Alternatively set in refrigerator for up to 7 days. Slice into bars and eat raw
