Spicy Chia Cashews
Keep a batch of these on hand to use in salads or as a snack.
Ingredients:
2 cups raw cashews soaked in water for 1-2 hours and drained
1 tablespoon agave syrup
2 tablesppons maple syrup
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon curry powder
pinch chili flakes
1 tablespoon chia seeds
pinch sea salt
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees C (300 F).
Place drained nuts in a bowl and add agave, maple syrup, turmeric, curry powder, chili flakes and salt.
Mix until well coated.
Pour the cashews onto a lined baking tray and bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chia seeds.
Add to salads or keep in a clean, glass jar in the fridge.
